Well-being doesn’t happen by chance,
it happens by choice.

"We don't have to do it all alone.
We were never meant to."
- Brenee Brown

It can feel overwhelming to search for a counselor. Usually, by the time you're reaching out for help, life has taken a turn for the worse and you want to find relief quickly! I am here to act as a guide, to listen, support, and challenge you to make positive changes toward your goals.  I hold a deep sense of our shared humanity at the heart of the work I do.

My belief is that everyone is the expert on themself and that we all have the power to change, heal, and grow within us— we just need to learn how to connect with it. I'm here to support, empower, and guide you to that space within yourself that is inherently able to grow, heal, and change.

My clients are mostly with women across the lifespan and my Ideal clients are interested in deeper, longer-term work, and are open to emotional exploration and mind-body approaches.

My areas of specialization include complex issues related to trauma,  grief, loss, separation, life transition, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, sexuality, body image concerns, and fertility issues. I also have significant experience working with cancer survivors and lead a support group through Northside Hospital.

I'm an integrative therapist and holistic practitioner who works from a primarily relational stance that integrates awareness of mind, body, spirit, and connection to others. I use many techniques including Internal Family Systems, EMDR, TRE, yoga, meditation, and hypnosis to facilitate emotional and bodily awareness, mindfulness, interconnection, and healing.

I have significant training in yoga therapy and have earned the highest ERYT500 certification as well as Yoga Therapist Certification.  I use yoga in both my individual work and therapy groups. Yoga has been found useful in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, body image, as well as for stress management and self-care. I am also trained in hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis.

My greatest responsibility is building and nurturing the relationship that we establish so as to create a secure and trusting environment where you can honestly discuss any topic of importance and know you will be supported.

My clients leave feeling understood, validated, challenged when necessary, enlightened through contemplative discussion, and empowered toward transformation. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out. The first step towards change is the hardest, yet offers the greatest reward.

Comfort and trust are essential to a therapeutic relationship. For this reason, I offer a free initial confidential phone consultation.
You can gauge your comfort level and then can choose to set up a time for us to meet.
