Dive to your depths.

Uncover your sacred self.

Kim Saunders, Founder, Creator, and original owner of Lift Yoga
Licensed Psychotherapist; teaching and counseling for 20+ years

Yoga has a way of changing you, shaping you, of informing you. It takes you on a journey of discovery and you become more self-aware.

True yoga is not about the shape of the pose. It's about learning. It's about making you a better version of yourself.

This has been true for me and so very many of my students over the decades. I began my yoga journey at 12 years old and it helped me to feel stronger, physically and emotionally.

Like many of you, life was super stressful. Through decades as a financial executive, the inherent stresses in the corporate environment, as well as being a mom, yoga has been a staple for me.

This balancing act created health issues and I found myself at a Deepak Chopra retreat in 2007. I had asked him while walking one-on-one if he knew of any studios that were combining yoga and counseling and he said "No, but you're going to do it. You will manifest it." And so I did.

Lift was created with a pure heart and the pure desire to "lift" people up, in mind, body, and soul. And it absolutely did. Each year, we had phenomenal growth of over 30% and reached more and more in the community.

As the founder, creator, and original owner, I am honored and humbled by the gifts of helping so many students through the years. While I may have 'birthed lift', the heart was shared by so many amazing teachers, and the beautiful art in the Sun and Moon Room was magically inspired and painted by Katie Bush.

Several years ago, I decided to sell my thriving studio so that I could dedicate more time to my family and to my counseling practice, yet you'll still find my uplifting outdoor community classes offered.

Since then, I've remained to offer my 5-star signature teacher training program, giving my students a quality experience and breadth of knowledge. If you are interested in online or in-person teacher training or have other yoga-related questions, I'll be looking forward to your call.
